G&L
G&L represents the legacy of the great Leo Fender. It was his mandate to offer handmade instruments of the finest quality, a task he took very seriously and worked diligently toward until his death in 1991.
Founded in 1980, with his partner from the early days, G&L has been providing discriminating players with a top quality instrument for nearly 30 years.
Today his vision is realized by a small group of skilled workers, all of whom strive to meet Leo’s vision, and continue to make innovations to his instruments, and the iconic foundation he laid.
G&L guitars are built in the original Fender factory in Fullerton, California. Each guitar is hand-made, and built to order. Only the finest materials are used in construction, and each guitar is painstakingly assembled, and set-up by hand.
The pickups are another enduring legacy of Leo’s, and a constant reminder of the ingenuity he possessed. Sweet tone, and clarity un-matched in his previous offerings; Leo was always working to improve the electric pickup and its possibilities.
Since 2001, G&L has been offering select guitars made in a small factory overseas. The Tribute series includes a selection of popular G&L guitars made to their specifications, and feature US made pickups from the Fullerton factory, all at a very competitive price.
